Le château de Cheverny is in the Sologne region known as the Pays des Châteaux. This château with its classic architecture is the château which has the most extensive collection of furniture in the Loire Valley and is renowned for its collection of artefacts and tapestries. The château de Cheverny was the inspiration for Hergé’s imaginary Marlinspike Hall the setting for the adventures of Tintin. An interactive exhibition has been created in co-operation with the Hergé foundation and allows visitors to discover the universe of Tintin and his friends across an exhibition space of 700m2.
The Vibraye family have lived in the Chateau de Cheverny for the last 600 years and every generation has made a great effort to take care and embellish it with a true passion. From the château, to the hunting lodge, and the gardens, come and experience life at the castle !
