The Château de Chambord is accessible free of charge to under-18s and 18-25s who are citizens of the European Union. The free ticket must be collected from the Château de Chambord ticket office on presentation of proof of identity.

The Château de Chambord is one of the must-see attractions in the Loire region, if not the most emblematic! Designed by King François I following his victory in Italy, it is the symbol of the reign of this king who left a strong mark on the region. Discover this monument of delicate architecture, which today stands at the heart of a rich forest estate. Don't miss its double spiral staircase or its terrace, which offers an incredible panoramic view of the Boulogne forest.

From the outside, admire the chimneys and lanterns that spike up the roof of the château in an ever more vertical movement.

This ticket does not include the Histopad, guided tours or shows.

Free for European Union citizens under 26: no ticket required! Reduced rate for other young people, to be collected on site.

Pets allowed (carried in the château, kept on a lead in the gardens).

Open every day of the year except 1 January, 25 November and 25 December.

2 January - 4 January: 9am - 6pm

5 January - 28 March: 9am - 5pm

29 March - 26 October: 9am - 6pm

27 October - 19 December: 9am - 5pm

20 to 31 December: 9am - 6pm (4pm on 24 and 31 December)

Closed on Mondays in winter (except during school holidays) - the Domaine de Chambord will also be closed on certain Mondays during the low season:

Last admission 30 minutes before the château closes.

The French gardens close 30 minutes before the château.
