In Amboise, in the Loire Valley, it was at the Château du Clos Lucé, at the invitation of François 1er, that Leonardo da Vinci lived the last years of his life and devoted himself to the culmination of his inventions and the study of major projects for the King, before dying there on May 2, 1519.
Discovering all the worlds of Leonardo da Vinci at the Château du Clos Lucé in 3 stages:
. The castle allows you to enter the intimacy of Leonardo da Vinci's place of life. We discover his apartments, the Renaissance rooms and his newly restored workshops. An exhibition of inventions imagined by the Italian artist on the themes of military engineering, urban planning, mechanics, flying machines and hydraulics is also presented to visitors.
. The park retraces all the passions of Leonardo, developed by the study and understanding of nature, through a landscaped route dedicated to the discovery of the knowledge of the Italian master, staged by 20 giant interactive machines, 8 sound terminals and 40 translucent canvases.
. New: the Château du Clos Lucé continues its mission of restoring the worlds of Leonardo da Vinci in a new cultural and museum space. The public discovers, through an immersive and interactive visit, two major facets of Leonardo da Vinci's know-how: painting and architecture.

At the heart of the Renaissance town of Amboise and its charming cobbled streets lies the Château Royal d'Amboise. Charles VIII was the real architect when he chose to transform this medieval residence into a Gothic château. François I, the great Renaissance king, spent much of his childhood here under the protection of his uncle Louis XII and his wife Anne of Brittany.
The famous Italian genius and faithful friend of Francis I, Leonardo da Vinci, is buried in the château's chapel, a stone's throw from his final resting place at Le Clos-Lucé. From its terraces, the Château Royal d'Amboise offers exceptional views over the Loire and the town.

!! The Saint Hubert chapel, where Leonardo da Vinci's tomb is located, is currently undergoing renovation work, so it is not possible to visit the interior.

They all work on recreating the gardens around a particular theme.
