Le Château of Clos Lucé is situated in the heart of the town of Amboise, at about one hundred metres from the château Royal. The château was given to Leonardo da Vinci by Francois 1st, and this is where he spent the last three years of his life working on numerous projects. In the château and its grounds you will be able to see and interact with full-size reproductions of his inventions. The Clos Lucé is a place dedicated to its former owner and offers a unique experience in the chateaux of the Loire.
Access
There is a carpark next to the visitors’ entrance in the rue du Clos Lucé. Other carparks are available in the town.
